Georgia Pedestrian Safety Action Plan

Everybody walks.

One thing we all have in common: We want to be SAFE when we walk.

Good news: The Georgia Department of Transportation and PEDS are developing the Georgia Pedestrian Safety Action Plan to improve safety for people who walk.

We have completed the first draft of this plan, and would like to open it up for feedback from you.  We would love to hear from you, no matter your profession or location in Georgia. We especially want to hear from elected officials, walking advocates, transportation professionals, public health professionals, and law enforcement officers! We want to know what you think about the goals and action items listed in this plan. Are they in the right direction? Are they achievable? Additionally, if you have any other ideas for improvement, we would love to hear those as well.

You can access the draft plan below. For a .docx version of the plan, you can contact us at kemberli@peds.org.  Please send all feedback in before July 21st. You can send your comments and questions to kemberli@peds.org
